Nagano Kenmin Koutsu Saigai Kyosai(Mutual Aid Traffic Accident Insurance Plan)

 This mutual aid system will allow you to receive a benefit in case you are involved in a traffic accident in Japan.

 

Any foreign resident registered in Chino City is eligible for enrollment.

 

Membership fee:¥400 per person per year.

 

Application form is available at the Civic Affaires Division (Shimin-ka) located in the Chino City Hall.

You can apply at any bank within the city (not including post offices) within the city to apply.

 

For the following persuns, Chino City will assume the membership fee, and will take over the application procedure:

  • Members of single-mother households
  • Members of single-father households
  • Widows aged 65 and under
  • Welfare recipients
  • Disability certificate holders
  • Children aged 15 and under

The benefit must be claimed within 2 years from the date you are involved in the traffic accident.

The application form is a triplicate format. The third sheet is a receipt and a membership certification. Please keep it for yourself for a year.
