Recycling Collection

  • There is no garbage collection on Saturdays, Sundays, December 29 to January 3.
  • Items must be placed at the designated site. Confirm the collection schedule.
  • Items must be separated into each material.
  • Chino city doesnt collect business waste. Please make a waste collection request to waste disposal services.

Paper

*Wet paper will not be collected.

Newspapers / Leaflets Magazines / Books

*Remove non-paper materials.

*Materials must be tied in a bundle.

*Remove non-paper materials.
*Materials must be tied in a bundle.
Cardboard Cartons
*Remove non-cardboard materials.
*Materials must be tied in a bundle.

*Remove non-carton materials.
*Cartons must be separated into white inside cartons and silver inside cartons.
*Cut and open to flatten.
*Wash and dry.

Other papers
*Cut and open to flatten.
*You need not tie materials in a bundle.

Cans

Glass bottles

*Cans must be separated into aluminum cans and steel cans.

*Make a hole in a can after confirmation that there is no gas in the can.

*Remove non-metallic materials.

*Put the tab into the body of a can.

*Wash.

*You need not crush cans.

*Glass bottles must be separated into three categories:
Colorless glass bottles,Brown glass bottles,Other color glass bottles

*Glass bottles printed with letters must be put out with other color glass bottles.

*Remove non-glass materials.

*Rinse.

*Take a beer bottle back to the store where you bought it.

*Broken glasses must be put out with non-burnable garbage.

Plastic

*Plastics must be separated into the white food trays, PET bottles and other plastics.

*Wash and dry.

*If you cant remove dirt from an item, it must be put out with burnable garbage.

*You need not remove labels and seals.

*White food trays with no recycling symbol must be put out with recyclable plastics.

*Material with the recycling symbol.
*The recycling symbol may be printed on product labels or boxes.


Shampoo bottles, Rinse bottles, Cleanser bottles, Container lids, Net bags for fruits or vegetables, Packs of instant noodles and NATTO, Egg containers, Snack bags, Plastic shopping bags, Food wrap, Bubble wrap, Foam polystyrene, Color food trays etc.

PET bottles
*Material with the recycling symbol.
*Remove lids and labels.
*Rinse and dry.

Textile

Batteries

Jeans, Childrens clothes, Sweatshirts, Cotton clothes, Silk clothes, Toweling clothes, etc.

 

*Wash and dry.
*You need not remove any attachments from clothing items.
*Socks, Gloves, Under wears, Bag, Blankets, Curtains, Carpets etc., and dirty items must be put out with burnable garbage.

Alkaline batteries / Manganese batteries

*Take other batteries (Nickel-cadmium battery, Button battery, Lithium battery etc.), back to stores where you bought them.

Used cooking oil

Fluorescent lamps

*Pour the used cooking oil into the poly tank that is placed at the recycling collection site. *Fluorescent lamps must be put in original packages or wrapped in news papers.
*Broken fluorescent lamps must be put out with non-burnable garbage.

Non-burnable garbage (Non-Recyclable)

  • Non-burnable garbage must be put in Chino-City-designated non-burnable garbage bag (letters are printed in green ink).
  • Write your name and your district on the designated garbage bag.
  • If a product is too large to put in the designated garbage bag, bring the product to Funenbutsu-shori-jo (incombustible disposal plant) or make a waste collection request to waste disposal services.
  • Funenbutsu-shori-jho is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Small Electric Products

Drier, Radio, Desk lamp, Electric pot, Iron, Calculator, Clock, Toaster oven, Flashlight, Camera, Coffee maker, Juicer, Rice cooker, Digital thermometer, Electric shaver, Electric blanket, Phone etc.

Kitchen Accessories Glass Products

Pan, Pot, Kettle, Water cleaner, Cutlery etc.

Glass, Bulb, Cup, Mirror, Glow lamp, Eyeglasses etc.
Ceramics Others
Cosmetic bottle, Bowl, Dish, Tea pot etc.

Lipstick, Plug, Scale, Tire chain, Fishhook, Scissor, Magnet etc.
